Jean & Ray’s Farm Market

For years my family drove past this little shack of a market. As far back as my memory goes this building has been empty, but still standing. This year when we drove by there were bulldoze trucks behind it. On my way home I had to stop. My grandmother’s name is Jean and my grandfather was Ray. When I told my grandmother about the place she said they must be taking it down because they knew that Ray was no longer around on earth. Its not to say that it won’t be there next year but just in case I wanted a memory. A memory of a “Jean & Ray” that I never knew, but also a memory of the Jean and Ray that I do.
